Toy Bulldogge
A Toy Bulldogge is a very small Bulldogge, usually only maturing around 10 inches tall, or less. (As small as 7 inches). Weight is from 5 to 20 pounds, usually falling somewhere in the middle. Males are usually a little larger then the females. They are very loving, cuddly, medium energy dogs. Strong and sturdy for their size. They come in a varity of colors, but usually fawn or black, in a solid or spotted pattern with a soft, short coat. Some Brindles will also be available. They have very blocky, wide heads, a short snout, smaller ears that do flop over, and may or may not have an underbite. Their legs are rather short for their size, and may bow out. Wide chests, lots of extra skin/wrinkles, and a curled tail that will only be docked if we feel it is nessessary, or by request, on a wide body. They tend to like to play in water, and a small kiddy pool on a hot day is very beneficial. Dog toys are a must for a Toy Bulldogge.
Toy Bulldogges are very fun, loving pets, that are great with kids. They do best as housedogs, due to their short snout, short coat, and small size. They are very trainable, people oriented dogs, that bond very tightly with their families. Their love to please makes training easy. A Toy Bulldogge gets along well with other pets.
A Toy Bulldogge was bred from several breeds, including, but not limited to Pugs and Pekingnese to bring down size. Though, they began with the Miniature Bull Dogs. They are not a crossbreed, but rather a new breed being developed. The smaller size was created with selective breeding, and not by breeding runts. C-sections are very rare with a Toy Bulldogge. They are normally very good mothers, that give birth easily.
Toy Bulldogges have just enough of a nose to not create severe breathing problems. They are not a snub nosed dog, but close. Some snoring is common. Toy Bulldogges are not prone to skin problems, hip displasia, or eye problems. Because of careful breeding, they are generally a very healthy and sound breed.
About Our Toy Bull Dogges
Dakota Winds spends a lot of time researching a variety of dog breeds, and spends a lot of time with, and live with, a variety of breeds. We love animals, especially dogs and horses. We work very closely with our vet when developing new breeds, and focus on temperment and health issues. It is very important that our Toy Bulldogges are able to breed on their own, and give birth on their own. Also, that they do not have a genetic tendancy to have health problems that would shorten their life spans or quality of life.
At this time, we are the only breeders of the Toy Bulldogge. Available puppies are very limited, and an early deposit may be nessessary in order to secure a puppy?

In the early stages, we may have a few available Minature Bulldogges, that will mature a little larger then 10 inches tall? (Never over 12 inches tall). Though, still small! These will be available for a reduced price! Depending on type, they may be available from $1,200 to $2,000 each. Miniatures and Toys may be born in the same litter?
The difference between a Miniature Bull Dog and a Miniature Bulldogge is overall health, and a Mini Bulldogge is easier to breed and give birth.
