Gypsy Stallion
Jack Flash

We imported Flash from the United Kingdon in the Spring of 2002, when he was 2 years old. Flash is a gorgeous Tri colored Gypsy Cob, registered with the Gypsy Cob And Drum Horse Association.

Flash stands only 14 hands tall, yet has a very Drafty build, with tons of feathering, and the most wonderful temperment that I have ever seen in a stallion!

Flash always comes to his name when called, and he loves any kind of treat that we give him. He does not mind being sat on or ridden. He is willing to do anything that we ask of him!

Gyspy Horses are known for their wonderful, puppy-dog like temperments, and make wonderful family horses! They can be used as driving or harness horses, riding bareback, western, or English. They are also very talented jumpers! (Flash sure is anyway).

The spotted coloring of most Gypsy horses adds to their gorgeous look!

Purebred Gypsy horses are rather expensive. (Though, worth it.) But not everyone can afford such a horse. Crossbreeidng with our Draft cross mares, Ponies, and eventually our Welsh Cobs, creates horses that look a lot like the purebred Gypsies, without the large price! Crossing Gypsies with light breeds, such as Arabians, creates a wonderful, smaller Sporthorse or pony!

The Gyspy temperment passes through to even the crossbred foals! They are very people friendly, curious, and fast learners. A joy to own and work/play with!

Gypsy horses are especially great for those who want a shorter, but heavy built horse, or even some bigger heavy built ones! Or if they are timid riders, and want a calm, not very fast, easy going friendly horse. Or even if someone just wants a flashy looking, unique horse to show, ride, drive, or just enjoy!

We have Gypsy Cross foals, Mares bred to Flash,  or you can breed your own mare to Flash! (Live cover only at this time).

Inquire if you are interested in a foal, bred mare, having your mare bred to Flash, or even if you would like a package deal.

Feathering on horses wears off, especially in the summer months from the grass and all in the pastures. We keep Flash, and all of our horses, pastured From Spring into Fall. To see a picture of Flash's winter feathering, click here. Click here to see all of Flash's foals to date.

We are located in Ipswich, South Dakota, about 40 miles West of Aberdeen, SD.

Flash is being offered for sale for $20,000.
