Labradoodles & Goldendoodles are gentle, easy to train, family dogs. They can also be trained for, and used as Service Dogs, Search & Rescue dogs, and some may Hunt? Standards would have more of a hunting instinct than would minatures. Standard Poodles were originally bred as hunting/water dogs, and still retain some of that.
Many purebred breeds today have many health problems! By cross breeding, or breeding hybrids, we get hybrid vigor, making a healthier dog, prone to less genetic health problems. 90% of dog health problems are reccessive. If breeds are bred to another breed that does not have simular health problems, then them health problems are eliminated.
Labs and Goldens make super family dogs! Gentle, loving, and easy to train. Poodles do not shed, and are very smart! Crossing these breeds makes a wonderful, smart, gentle, easy to train, low to no shed dog, with hybrid vigor and health.
Our Miniature Labrdoodles and Goldendoodles are perfect sizes for housedogs! However, we also have some Standard sizes for those who prefer a bigger dog.
Labradoodles
A Labradoodle is a cross between a Labrador Retriever and a Poodle. Originally bred to be used as Service dogs for people with allergies. The Labradoodle is considered low to no shed breed. However, all breeds shed some, except for hairless breeds. People who are severaly allergic to dogs, will likely be allergic to Labradoodles, and almost all breeds.
It is not the hair itself that people are normally allergic to. It is the dander, saliva, and urine of the dog. Low to no shedding dogs release less dander into the air.
Labradoodles have 3 coat types. The straighter, shorter coat. Easy to maintain, but may shed? (A lot less then a Lab, but still plenty.) The fleece coat, loose waves, which is low to no shed, but can be harder to mantain as the dog matures. And the Curly, more Poodle type, which usually does not shed, but requires being clipped.
Goldendoodles
A Goldendoodle is a cross between a Golden Retreiver and a Poodle. There is one word that best descibes the Goldendoodle. That is Gentle!
Their coat can be more Golden Retreiver like, or more Poodle like. But is usually something in-between.
Normally fuzzier than the Labradoodle. If you like hairy dogs, the Goldendoodle may be what you are looking for?
About Our Doodles
Our dogs are all our pets first, and used for breeding second. We love them, train them, and let them be dogs!
All of our puppies are born inside of our house. Therefore, all of our female dogs are housetrained. Puppies are all well socialized, and played with and held daily.
Adult dogs get pools in the summer, rawhides regularly, and other toys. They have large pens to run and dig in, and to just act like dogs! Soft beds to sleep in, in a warm, or cool, (depending on what is needed according to the weather), building. Our larger dogs love to run with the ATVs! Smaller dogs love to ride on the ATV's!
Our female Labs were carefully selected for health, temperment, color, and all being of smaller size. Since we are concentrating on breeding Mini Labradoodles. (Standard sizes occasionally available.)
Two of our Golden Retreiver girls are litter mates.. With wavy hair, super gentle, excellant bloodlines, smart, and just nice! Our Goldens are playful, active girls! We love that the variety of the colors with our Goldens! Ranging from very light, to very dark.
Bo, our Miniature Chocolate Silver Poodle is an excellant sire! Loves people, and is very smart! And what color! He also has the most beautiful eyes! We searched long and hard for him to be used for our Mini Doodle breeding program.
Marti is a fantasic Poodle! Very unusual tri color, with a very people oriented personality.
Puppies are carefully bred for health, temperment, brains, coat, color, and size. Each puppy is unique, and special to us!

Comfort Doodles
Many people want smaller & smaller Doodles. Though, breeding a small Poodle, to a large dog, can prove to be difficult at best! Often ending up with very small litters, or no puppies at all.
One easier solution is to breed a smaller Golden, or a smaller Lab! We already have the smallest Purebred Labs & Goldens that we could find!
This is where Comfort Doodles come in... A Comfort Retriever is really a cross between a Golden Retriever and a Cocker Spaniel. This cross makes a very Golden Retriever looking dog, in a much smaller size! (Usually around 35 pounds.)
Comfort Retrievers are not a new cross. People have had them as wonderful pets for many years! Comfort Retrievers are also wonderful for Golden Retriever lovers, who just want a smaller dog! They make very cute, healthy, loving pets!
By breeding a Comfort Retriever to a Miniature Poodle, increases the chances of actually getting puppies, since they are closer in size. Since Cocker Spaniels come in a larger variety of colors, Comfort Retrievers may also come in a larger variety of colors then Golden Retrievers.. Maybe we can eventually even get a larger variety of colors with our Comfort Doodles? Cocker Spaniels are usually lower shedding then Golden Retrievers also.
Since we already own Golden Retrievers and Cocker Spaniels, we will be breeding our own line of Comfort Retrievers, to eventually get Comfort Doodles! This way, we already know the health & temperments of the parent dogs.
We also plan to breed our male Beagle to one of our Lab females for Comfort Labradoodles! This cross makes a very small Lab looking Dog. Comfort Labradors are also great dogs! Often becoming great hunting or tracking dogs, having the intelligence of the Lab, but the hound scent! They have been known to track, flush, retrieve, on land & water, and even point! Many stories also of very loving, smart pets.
We hope that we will be able to get mostly spotted Comfort Labradoodles!
